Our natural and non-toxic candles are designed to enhance any space and create a beautiful ambiance for you and your family to enjoy.
How Did We Begin?
SunnyCandles&co began as a simple hobby, like many other businesses. I have always loved burning candles and adored the cozy aroma they emitted. At just 15 years old, I made the decision to create my own candles using whatever natural ingredients I could find around the house. Little did I know, making candles required a great deal of knowledge and skill. I devoted weeks to learning about the craft, determined to create the best products possible. As I tested and experimented, my collection of candles grew, and I found myself giving them to family and friends. Their genuine appreciation for my creations inspired me to continue making more and eventually, to start selling them. When I saw that they were selling well, I had an idea to turn my passion into a small business. Since then, I have embarked on a new journey that I have grown to love, and watched as my business grew over the years. I have learned the intricate process of making candles and have found joy in every step.

Hand-crafted on Vancouver Island, our candles are made with non-toxic, cruelty-free, and vegan materials. In an effort to reduce harm to the environment, we have made a conscious decision to utilize natural products. This commitment has led us to use soy wax as a safe alternative, allowing us to enjoy burning candles without concerns of toxins. Our goal is to create a cleaner and healthier future for all.
Behind SunnyCandles&co
My name is Zoey, I am currently 17 years old. I live on Vancouver Island and have devoted most of my time in the past few years to my small business, and watching as it grows. I have never expected to become a young entrepreneur whilst balancing homeschooling. Both require a lot of time, however both are commitments I love to spend time doing.
When I started SunnyCandles&co, I did not expect to be participating in markets every month, and eventually have my own website, or be flooded with amazing feedback. This journey has been a wild one, and it has yet to end. I cannot wait to see where my business is heading.
